"I came to NZ 8 yrs ago from Philadelphia - a city with a large Italian/Sicilian population. I grew up on great pizza and was going through serious withdrawal here in Aucks. I eventually found Gina's, then Al Volo... and this kept me placated. Then I found Epilito's and was in heaven.

A good pizza, like a good house, depends on it's foundation. If you don't get the dough, sauce and cheese right, anything you put on top is doomed to failure. Chicalita gets it RIGHT! So much so that she recently won Best Pizza in New Zealand. And that using a convection oven rather than her glorious stone oven. Even hobbled she beat out everyone else. That says it all."- Richard
